We are excited to share that VISU members Tine Meganck and Hanne Schonkeren will be presenting their research at the Historians of Netherlandish Art (HNA) Conference, which will take place in Cambridge on 10-13 July 2024.
Tine Luk Meganck will present on 12 July as part of the session 'Gender & the Home across Cultures'. Her contribution is titled "Coopmannen en Huysvrouwen: Material Microhistories of Sixteenth-Century Antwerp Merchant Families."
Hanne Schonkeren will present her research "Wereldlijcke ende Geestelijcke Dochters, het Peerlegaten Doende: The Female Hand in Early Modern Antwerp Gold and Silverwork" on 11 July in the session 'Technical Art History: Material Stories-Object Itineraries'.
In addition to Tine and Hanne, VISU's associated researcher Oliver Kik will also be presenting at the HNA conference. On 11 July, he will share his research titled "Framing Blondeel: The Cross-Media Use of All'Antica Ornament."
