Biography
Francisca Vandepitte has a PhD in Art History from Ghent University (1996). She is Senior Curator of Modern Art at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium (Brussels) and since 2015 Associate Professor in Conservation Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). As an author she focuses on Belgian sculpture and painting from modern and contemporary periods (Meunier, Wouters, Vantongerloo, Broodthaers, Panamarenko) and on technical art history (Magritte).
