
VISU member Hanne Schonkeren will be presenting her research at the Material Culture Pre-1850 Workshop, hosted by the University of Cambridge.
Her lecture, ‘Exploring artisanship, technical knowledge and ingenuity in the making of silver cups’, will take place on 10 March 2025, from 5 to 7 PM (GMT), in the Boys Smith Room, Fisher Building, St John’s.
This lecture is part of her research residency at Cambridge University, Trinity Hall, from 21 January to 21 March. Hanne was selected as the first visiting PhD student in a new cultural exchange programme between the Rubenshuis, Antwerp (led by director Bert Watteeuw) and Trinity Hall, Cambridge (led by Head of History of Art at Cambridge Alexander Marr).
